OSPInSight OSPM-Edit for ESRI Full Installation Instructions


Perform the following steps in order to run the full install* of OSPInSight Edit 2.x

  1. Download the latest copy of the full install of OSPInSight Edit, to your hard drive.
  2. If you already have a copy of OSPInSight 2.x on your computer, browse to your
    \Program Files\OSPInSight\OSPM\OSP Manager ESRI\ folder, copy the setup.mdb file to a different folder. Then browse to your \Program Files\OSPInSight\OSPM\OSP Manager ESRI\Edit folder, copy the registration.osp file to a different folder.
  3. Uninstall your current version of Edit 2.x (if you have one installed) through the Add/Remove Programs utility
  4. Run the OSPInSight installer that you downloaded in step 1
  5. Allow the new copy of OSPInSight to install to the default directory.
  6. If you copied them out, copy the setup.mdb and registration.osp back into the
    \Program Files\OSPInSight\OSPM\OSP Manager ESRI and \Program Files\OSPInSight\OSPM\OSP Manager ESRI\Edit\ folders respectively, overwriting the ones placed there
    by the new install. This step will restore your setup and registration information, so that you
    don't have to register again or reconfigure your setup.
  7. Your install should now be complete.
  8. Once the 2.x upgrade is complete, we STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you run OSPInSight and select OSPInSight Help, Release Notes from the OSPInSight Toolbar to see the latest updates, features and known issues

*Note: If you prefer to not uninstall your current version, you can simply run the latest patch, rather than the full install. The patch updates all your files, but doesn’t require that you uninstall your current version, nor that you move copies of your setup.mdb or registration.osp.
