OSPInSight OSPM-View for ESRI Patch Installation Instructions


To upgrade to the latest version of OSPInSight OSPM-View 2.x:

  1. Verify that your current version of OSPM-View is at least 2.00 by selecting OSPInSight Help, About OSPInSight from the OSPInSight Toolbar. (If you have 1.x, your current version must be uninstalled, and 2.01 must be installed). You will also need to contact OSPInSight Technical support to convert your current 1.x database to the new 2.x database format. Please note 1.x runs with ESRI ArcMap 8.x and 2.x runs with ESRI ArcMap 9.x.
  2. Close OSPInSight completely, and verify that you are not accessing any OSPInSight databases through Microsoft Access
  3. Download the latest OSPM-View-2.0-Patch.exe and save it to a temporary location on your hard drive, or run it from the website.
  4. If you downloaded the file, double click OSPM-View-2.0-Patch.exe to run the installer.
  5. Follow the instructions in the install wizard.
  6. The 'Select Destination Location' screen will ask you where to copy the new files. By default the upgrade files will be copied to C:\Program Files\OSPInSight\OSPM\OSP Manager ESRI\, which is the default directory. If your application was previously installed to a different directory, please browse to correct location.
  7. Continue through the setup wizard and finish the installation
  8. Once the 2.0 upgrade is complete, we STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you run OSPInSight and select OSPInSight Help, Release Notes from the OSPInSight Toolbar to see the latest updates, features and known issues
